Religiousness In A Changing World

The IP aims at presenting the subject “Searching and Losing Religion in Central-East and South-East Europe” for advanced graduate and doctoral students who, as part of their studies, take a European Sociology or Religious Studies course and whose research focus are on the changes of the religious situation in the region, including its dimensions in sociology and religious studies.
The IP uses problem-oriented and communication based pedagogical means in order to get the students acquainted, during courses and teamwork classes, with rarely inquired issues.
The courses in the morning will discuss topics of general interest, the short presentations held by students in the afternoon, are based on actual cases. Each day is finished with a teamwork session.
The meeting of renowned scholars from various institutions, the presence of the special invitees and the formation of interdisciplinary and cross-cultural classroom to the critical dialogical perspective of mentioned issues, represents an unique opportunity on the European level.
The IP is a 6 ECTS credit seminar, has a 12 days duration, from which 10 days educational course, 2 days open programme and will lead to an online publication, with material produced by participants in the programme, as well as pedagogical tools and teaching materials.
Remember, with the help of the Erasmus programme, the travel fees, the lectures, all the programmes, the accomodation and breakfast are for free, the lunch and dinner are covered from the daily subsistence fees.
